-TSgt John Chapman, first airman to get medal of honor since Vietnam, posthumously promoted to MSgt, died at Battle of Takur Ghar in Afghanistan, his widow Valerie Nessel has been instrumental in helping other Gold Star Spouses since. She is definitely #morethanamilspouse.

-Sen. John McCain will lie in state at the US capitol in Washington D.C. today. A special ceremony will be held there at 10 am and members of the public will be allowed to visit from 1 - 8 pm. He will be laid to rest at the US Naval Academy cemetery on Sunday in a private service.
