Ep: 53 Holding Down the Homefront
The subject of military spouses "serving" too can be quite controversial and divide many in the military community. In this episode, I talk to one MilSpouse author that says "they serve too." We discussed the many ways that military families are often overlooked in support of the service member. We also talked about ways to bridge the gap between the military and civilian worlds.
Chantel Olson is an author, speaker and coach. Her new book is entitled "Homefront Warriors -- Not all warriors wear a uniform," an international bestseller. Her mission is to bring awareness to the Homefront Warriors, the spouses, children, parents, etc., left at home when their loved one is serving in the military. She founded the Homefront Warrior Foundation to bring awareness to the many issues military families face. In addition, she designed a special dog tag, based on the military tags, that represents the Homefront Warriors.
